Tyke Social Walks

Do you want your adult dog to walk calmly in a group (other dogs and people) in a variety of environments?

If your dog can sometimes get excited around other dogs/people then these walks are a great place for your dog to learn and practice walking calmly in a group. These walks provide you and your dog opportunity to experience walking in a group so you can reward calmer behaviours with the support and guidance from us. Groups are small (maximum of 5 dogs) to ensure you have support throughout.

 Suitability

Due to the locations and structure of these walks, they are only suitable for dogs who do not have a history of or show any undesired (aggressive) behaviours towards other dogs or people. If your dog currently shows any undesired behaviour towards other people/dogs, please get in touch so we can advise on how to help you.

These walks are suitable for adult dogs only.

Location?

Walks start at various places in and around Lincoln, although should be no more than a 20 minute drive from the centre of Lincoln. Examples of locations may include public places such as: Eagle, Swinderby, Whisby Nature Park. Specific meeting locations will be sent via email to you a few days ahead of the social walk.
If you require more information, please contact us.

Structure

Walks are approximately 1.5 hours long with time taken to get out of the calm and let the dogs acknowledge one another before we head off on the walk.

We will be walking on public rights of way so may encounter people and dogs not part of our group. As we will be outside for the duration of the walk, please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain.

If you have not joined us for a walk before, please contact us to discuss suitability as your dog may require an assessment prior to joining for these walks.

 How much does it cost?

£30 per dog per walk
£15 per dog per walk for those who have had a behaviour consultation package with us.
Maximum 5 dogs per walk.
