Puppy Beginner classes

Our Puppy Beginner classes are designed to introduce behaviours such as:
Recall, Loose lead walking, Attention on you, Settle calmly and entertain yourself, Leave, Drop (release an item from your mouth), Polite greetings (people and dogs)

We introduce exercises in each weekly class and also give you access to our online training videos so you can recap the training at a time convenient for you.

We only take a maximum of 6 dogs on each course to ensure individual attention.

What do we cover?

We can tailor some of the content for the individual dogs on the course but as standard cover exercises such as coming back when called, loose lead walking, attention on you, settle, stay on the ground to say hello, leave (move away from an item) and drop (release what you have in your mouth).

So your puppy can experience real-life situations and practice the responses they have learned in class we also include a complementary puppy social walk, of up to an hour long (not walking for the whole time though! Lot's of watching the world and training practice).

How long and how often are the classes?

Courses consist of 4 Practical focussed classes each up to 1 hour long

How old does my dog need to be to take part?

These classes are suitable for dogs up to 20 weeks of age at the start of the course who have had at least their first vaccination.

If your puppy has only had their first vaccination, then your vet needs to be happy with your puppy attending the initial indoor classes and your puppy should be carried into the venue.

 Where do classes take place?

You also have access to our online learning platform which has a variety of short training videos to compliment the exercises covered in class. Additionally there is  information to support and advise on topics such as mouthing/biting, house training etc. too.
