What is mantrailing?

Mantrailing is a canine sport that taps into a dog's exceptional sense of smell and tracking abilities. It's a real-life game of hide-and-seek where your dog becomes the detective, and you're their trusty sidekick.

The goal is simple: your dog must follow a specific human scent trail to locate a "missing person" within a designated area. This sport mimics search and rescue operations, making it not only fun but also practical and rewarding.

It's a sport which dogs of all ability and age can take part in. Once they understand the game, it's easy to adjust the trails for each individual whether they be a puppy or in their twilight years.

Dogs are also worked one at a time so it's also a great activity for those who might be worried or unsure around other dogs.

Why Mantrailing?

Mental Stimulation: Mantrailing challenges your dog's mind as they solve the puzzle of following a scent trail. It's an excellent way to keep them mentally sharp and engaged.

Physical Exercise: Mantrailing is an excellent workout for both you and your dog. It offers a balance of physical activity and mental stimulation, promoting a healthier and happier dog.

Bonding: Few activities strengthen the bond between a dog and their owner like mantrailing. It relies on trust and communication, making it a fantastic way to deepen your connection.

Fun and Adventure: Mantrailing is an adventurous pursuit. Whether you're exploring forests, urban environments, or open fields, every trail is a new adventure waiting to be discovered.
