Canine Hoopers is a fun, modern dog sport that focuses on communication and inclusivity. It is suitable for all dogs and handlers.
Hoopers is an obstacle based sport where dogs run through hoops and tunnels, and around barrels.
Unlike agility, this is a low impact sport with flowing courses, meaning this is an activity that is accessible to dogs of all ages and sizes. Hoopers is also suitable for handlers with limited mobility as there are no sharp, fast movements.
In Hoopers lessons, dogs are taught to change their direction based on verbal cues and their handlers body language. This makes it the perfect activity to improve your connection and communication with your dog. Dogs are also encouraged to gradually follow these cues from a greater distance, this is great for building a dog’s confidence and independent thinking skills.
We are currently offering private 1-2-1 session of up to 30 minutes each. All offered on a Wednesday evening.
These are suitable for beginners and those who would like to progress.
All classes are taught by Kat, our accredited Canine Hoopers Uk instructor, using exclusively force free and positive reinforcement based methods so dogs are always set up to succeed.
