Lynn Hewison

Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Co-Founder

Lynn is a Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) registered with the ABTC. She is also a certificated member of FABC and a Committee member of BVBA.

For nearly the past 10 years Lynn worked in an academic setting where she taught companion animal behaviour at both undergraduate and postgraduate level whilst also consulting in a Behaviour referral practice, working primarily with dogs who present with unwanted behaviours.

In addition to a wealth of extensive practical experience working closely with clients to help change behaviours, teaching classes and working in a variety of settings, with both private clients, rescues and other professionals, Lynn also has a BSc in Animal Behaviour Science and an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour.  

Lynn is also a CCAB (Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist), and has had both her theoretical and practical skills assessed by the Accreditation Committee of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB).

In addition to the above Lynn is also a trustee for a local dog rescue charity and the ABTC as well as Secretary of ASAB Accreditation Committee.

Miriam Prior

Veterinary Behaviourist and Co-Founder

Miri is a practicing veterinary surgeon and Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) registered with the ABTC. She is also a member of the BVBA and FABC.

She was awarded an MSc with distinction in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln in June 2019, and continues to expand her knowledge of canine and feline behaviour with regular courses and conferences.  

Much of her free time at home is spent walking, playing, training or snuggling with her two dogs – Pecan the whippet and Wynny the rescue terrier. She is a cat-lover too, and taught her cat the amazing Fat Meg to “sit”, “spin”, and give “paw.  

Currently, Miri continues to work as a practising veterinary surgeon at the Veterinary Hospital in Lincoln three days a week and on the other days she offers behaviour consultations to clients on veterinary referral.  

Sara McIver

Animal Training Instructor

Sara is a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council ABTC.

She has over 15 years’ experience working within the training and behaviour field and currently works for an assistance dog organisation as a training and behaviour consultant.

In 2018 Sara was awarded an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour with Distinction and has published her MSc thesis on the quality of life of assistance dog owners, pre and post dog placement. She regularly assists on animal training courses and undertakes CPD opportunities wherever she can.  

Sara is a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and a candidate member of Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC)  

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two dogs, as well as keeping active by walking and wild swimming. 

Himara Van Haevermaet

Veterinary Behaviourist

Himara is a veterinary surgeon who is currently in her final year of a residency (specialism) in veterinary behavioural medicine.

She has 11 years of experience seeing dog and cat behaviour cases (initially privately and then at a behaviour referral practice).     She is also currently undertaking a part time PhD looking at dog ‘reactive’ dog behaviours.    

In her spare time (if the toddler, pets and work allows!), she enjoys making soap, cooking and swimming.   

Hannah Wright

Animal Training Instructor

Hannah has worked in the training and behaviour industry since 2004. She has a PhD in dog behaviour and strong practical skills in animal training.

Hannah has extensive experience in training dogs and working with owners to improve their lives through kind and effective training methods.

Hannah has a passion for puppy training, prevention of behaviour problems, and specialises in the training and welfare of assistance dogs. Hannah works in the assistance dog sector and has spent much of her career coaching and mentoring other dog trainers.

Hannah is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) UK, candidate member of FABC, and a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.

Hannah sees a small number of behaviour cases with us, and on occasion 121 training sessions or class teaching.

Maxine Osborne

Animal Training Instructor

Maxine is recognised through the ABTC as an Animal Training Instructor having completed her theoretical and practical assessments with the APDT.

Maxine has worked with dogs for many years, starting off in rescue and working throughout the pet dog industry.  She has bred and shown Chow Chows and Akita Inu, and also completed obedience training and sled dog racing with her Alaskan Malamute.  

She has a dog grooming business and is a volunteer for UK GSD Rescue.  After working with several excellent behaviourists and gaining much knowledge, including recognition through the APDT she is now teaching classes and running 1-2-1's for training.
